Trudy Roush

STAFFORD - Gertrude M. "Trudy" Roush, 82, died January 29, 2012 at Stafford County Hospital. Born September 19, 1929 at Roxanna, OK she was the daughter of E.F. "Hap" and Lucretia Polley Short. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pink Ladies, Meals on Wheels volunteer, Stafford Senior Center, Stafford County Country Club Ladies Golf Association and was an avid bowler. On March 30, 1948 she married Frank Roush at Preston. He died Dec. 19, 2005. She is survived by her sons - Roger Roush and his wife Donna of Stafford. Rodney Roush and his wife Karen of Stafford. Brothers - Robert Short of Yuma, AZ, Harold Short of Elk City, OK. Sisters - Shirley Wilson of Enid, OK, Pat Stockton of Columbus, PA and Madeline Randlett of Tuttle, OK. Seven grandchildren. Fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Stafford. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with the family present from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the Stafford Senior Center or First Baptist Church both in care of the chapel.
