Phyllis Christie

STAFFORD - Phyllis Elizabeth Christie, 76, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at South Wind Hospice House, Pratt. Born October 28, 1934, she was the daughter of Roger and Elizabeth McAdam Mayberry. She was a graduate of the Wesley School of Nursing and was a retired Registered Nurse at Stafford District Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stafford, Rebekah Lodge, Royal Neighbors and was a volunteer for South Wind Hospice. On February 5, 1954 she married Bill Christie at Wichita. He survives. Other survivors include:
Daughter-in-law: Jan Rich of Hutchinson.
Grandchildren: Amanda Lee and Jeff Rich.
Great grandchildren: Chase and Alex
Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son: Phillip, two brothers and her parents.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with Rev. Marvin Alley presiding. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 1-7 p.m. at the chapel. Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church or South Wind Hospice, both in care of the chapel.
