Marilyn Rankin

STAFFORD - Marilyn Ruth Rankin, 78, died Friday, October 1, 2010 at Stafford County Hospital, Stafford. Born March 4, 1932 at Stafford she was the daughter of Clifford and Minnie Knoche Bell. She was a 1950 graduate of Stafford High School and a graduate of Wesley Hospital School of Nursing. She was a retired Registered Nurse working in different military hospitals around the world. She was a member of the Christian Church. On May 21, 1955 she married Donald Rankin at Wichita. He died July 8, 1996. She is survived by a Brother: Lawrence C. Bell and his wife Betty of Walnut Creek, CA. Sister: Marjorie P. Walker of Stafford. Niece: Leslie Jacobs and her husband Christopher. Great-niece: Kiley and great-nephews: Matthew and Colin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Chantry Bell.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 4, 2010 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with Paul Porter presiding. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Memorials may be sent to the Stafford Christian Church, Stafford County Museum or Leisure Homestead, all in care of the chapel.
