Cleta McComb

STAFFORD - Cleta Evelyn Herrell McComb, 95, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at Lake Point Nursing Home in Augusta, Ks. Born November 19, 1914 in the Peace Creek area in Rural Stafford County. She was the daughter of Charles and Lena Grub Herrell. On October 24, 1939 she married Max H. McComb. He died July 29, 1995. She was a member of Church of Christ, Stafford, KS.
She is survived by daughters - Nancy Girard and her husband Ray of Augusta. Marlyn Stallings and her husband James of Alva, OK.
Sister - Deloris Young of Hutchinson.
Brother - Virgil Herrell of Wichita.
Seven grandchildren - LyAnna McComb, LaTana McComb Beaumont, LoRita McComb Heinson and her husband DeWayne, Lori Girard Schmeissner and her husband Dwayne, Chris Girard and his wife Zelda, Jody Girard Reed and her husband Doug, Wendi Thomas Macey and her husband Andrew.

She was preceded in death by sons - Sam McComb of Alva, OK and Charles McComb of San Antonio, TX. Sister - Hazel. Brothers - Leo, Irvin and Ralph. Great granddaughter - Tabitha.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with Richard Foster presiding. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Minnis Chapel. Memorials may be sent to the Stafford Church of Christ or Amedisy Kansas Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
