Carolyn Minor

STAFFORD – Carolyn Dawn Minor, 70, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Leisure Homestead, Stafford. Born March 11, 1941 at Stafford she was the daughter of Clem and Mary Byer Fuller. She was a graduate of Southwestern College, had taught Home Economics in the St. John School District and was a homemaker. She was the campaign manager/treasurer during her husband's legislative terms. She was a member of the Stafford United Methodist Church, Chapter BK PEO, Corn Valley 4-H Leader, Delta Kappa Gamma, Modern Homemakers E.H.U., was a past county leader for Farm Bureau. On July 31, 1965 she married Melvin Minor at Stafford. He survives. She is also survived by Daughters - Gayle Stiggins of Arlington, KS. Mary Jo Mann and her husband Shane of Quinter. Sister - Gloria Gorham and her husband Sam of Winslow, AZ. Grandchildren - Abby and Katie Stiggins, Barrett Mann. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with Steve Gill presiding. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-7 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the family present from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the Leisure Homestead or the Methodist Church, both in care of the chapel.
