Virginia McGill

STAFFORD - Virginia McGill, 90, died Friday, August 21, 2009 in Independence, MO. Born April 12, 1919 at Richfield, KS she was the daughter of George A. and Daphna Rae Walker. She was an elementary school teacher and a homemaker and a long time resident of the Stafford area before moving to Liberty, MO in 1999. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Stafford and Liberty, E.H.U. and Farm Bureau. On June 4, 1945 she married Harold McGill at San Antonio, TX. He died December 16, 1994. She is survived by: DAUGHTERS: Mary McGill of Denver, Donna Conrad of Blue Springs, MO, Helen Haynes of Ashland, MO and Glennis Fuller of Liberty, MO. SISTERS: Gertrude Thorsell of Chanute, Jennie Talbert of Ulysses and Iris Austin of O'Fallon, IL. Ten grandchildren. 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the First Christian Church, Stafford. Burial will be at the Feldhut Cemetery, Rural Stafford. The family will receive friends Monday 5-7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Assoc. in care of the chapel.
