Venita V. Ramsay

STAFFORD - Venita V. Ramsay, 95, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Leisure Homestead, St. John. Born February 23, 1914 at Zenith she was the daughter of Bill and Carried Hartnett Volker. She was a nurse's aid at the Stafford Hospital and was a longtime Stafford resident. She was a member of the Zenith Community Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. On May 13, 1933 she married William Harold Ramsay at St. John. He died May 21, 1992. She is survived by a son: William J. Ramsay of Kinsley. Brother: Calvin Volker of Wichita. Sisters: Margie Aliesio of Yonkers, NY and Jewell Jordan of Wichita. Two grandchildren. Seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son: James Rodney. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 1-5 p.m. at the chapel. Contributions may be sent to St. Judes Children's Hospital in care of the chapel.
