STAFFORD - Thomas William Brownlee, 89, died Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Rosenberg Health & Rehabilitation Center, Rosenberg, TX. Born in Sylvia, KS on November 6, 1921, son of John Charles and Lenore Maughlin Brownlee. He served as a glider pilot and C-47 copilot for the US Army Air Force in WWII. Carrying men, freight and supplies to forward echelon groups in combat zones. In September, 1945 he married Virginia Harrington. She died March 3, 1995. He is survived by sons John Charles and wife Neena, and James Richard, both of Houston; and daughter Martha Brownlee Murphy and husband Tom of Pepperell, Mass. Sister Ann Hepplewhite of Midland, Texas; Three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter: Nancy and a brother: Richard. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at Stafford Cemetery. Minnis Chapel, Stafford is in charge of arrangements.
