Millie Banks

SYLVIA - Millie Belle Banks, 93, died June 6, 2009 in Mesa AZ. She was born to William A. Rice and Sarah Rorie Rice on December 28, 1915. She was a homemaker. Millie married Howard L. Banks on June 9, 1939 and together they raised their family in Sylvia. He died April 27, 1985.
She is survived by sons Howard of Newton, Joe and his wife Debbie of Chandler AZ, Kenneth and his wife Susan of Wichita. Daughters Bonnie White, Hutchinson and Peggy Tolbert and her husband Richard of Newton, Daughter-in-law Lucricia Banks, Oro Valley AZ ,a brother Lewis Rice, Sylvia KS , 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter and 2 great grandsons.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Sylvia Cemetery, Sylvia, Kansas with Steve Gill presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to a Food Bank of the donor's choice. Minnis Chapel, Stafford is in charge of arrangements.
