Lawrence Fischer

STAFFORD - Lawrence Arthur Fischer, 87, died December 26, 2009 at South Wind Hospice House, Pratt. Born February 15, 1922 at Hudson he was the son of Willie J. and Amelia Erdsick Fischer. He was a resident of Stafford for 40 years and was an electric lineman for the City of Stafford for 20 years. He was a member of the Stafford United Methodist Church where he also served on many different committees, Board of Directors for the Stafford County Historical Society and Stafford Senior Center Board of Directors. On June 12, 1949 he married Juanita Ann Blakeslee at Rural Hudson. She survives. Other survivors include:
Daughters: Jane Byer and her husband Joe of Stafford. Carolyn Willson and her husband Darrell of Hutchinson. Son: Lee Fischer and his wife June of Austin, TX. Eight grandchildren. Eleven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the Stafford United Methodist Church with Richard Foster presiding. Friends may sign the family book at Minnis Chapel, Stafford 4-6 p.m. Monday. The casket will remain closed. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Church, South Wind Hospice or Stafford County Historical Society, all in care of the chapel.
