June Volker

STAFFORD - June Volker, 83, died Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Leisure Homestead, Stafford. Born June 11, 1925 at Macksville she was the daughter of Harper Hall and Alda May Batman Wilson. She was a graduate of Macksville High School and Phillips University of Enid, Oklahoma. She taught at Stafford Schools for 35 years, mainly in the 3rd grade. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Christian Church both of Stafford, Women’s Christian Fellowship, City Teacher’s Association and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. On September 3, 1948 she married Veryl Volker at Macksville. He died September 19, 2006. She is survived by:

SON: Boyd Volker and his wife Kim of Stafford.

SISTER: Jeanne McLeod of Indio, CA

THREE GRANDDAUGHTERS: Kristen Knight and her husband Mac, Erica and Lauren Volker.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with Rev. David Volker presiding. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 4-8 p.m. with the family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. at the chapel. Memorials may be sent to the Stafford Education Foundation or Stafford Leisure Homestead in care of the chapel.
