Jim Searle

STAFFORD - James J. “Jim” Searle, 71, died November 4, 2009 in Stafford, KS as a result of an accident. He was born July 29, 1938 in Stafford, KS to Harry and Minnie Searle. He was a 1956 graduate of Hudson High School. He retired from Halliburton Services and moved to Stafford Kansas to be close to the family and friends he held so dear. He loved fishing, golf, and grilling, and was a huge fan of KU Jayhawk basketball and Wichita Collegiate Spartan football. Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He married Anna Vee Shelton on March 4, 1960. He leaves behind his soul mate of 49 years, Anna Vee , one son, Jeff Searle and wife Lois of Wichita, daughter Sheri Searle of Olathe and grandsons, Jamie Searle of Kansas City, MO and Matthew and Brandon Searle of Wichita. Other survivors include one sister, Darlene "Sally" Bauer and one brother, Gaylen Searle both of Hudson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Minnie Searle, 2 brothers, Don Searle and Lawrence Searle and one sister, Sue Freel.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 9th at Trinity Community Church in Hudson, KS. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials can be made to Trinity Community Church or to The Hudson Community Club Development Fund in care of the Minnis Chapel, 125 N. Main, Stafford, KS 67578.
