STAFFORD - A lifetime resident of Stafford, James M. Logue was called home to be with the Lord May 20, 2010 at Pratt Regional Medical Center. He was born to James Sandford and Sadie Maye Logue April 12, 1928 at Stafford. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict with time spent in France. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Wright at Sylvia, Kansas on October 2, 1955. She survives. He was an active member of the First Christian Church. He was also a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. He was a charter member of the Stafford Recreation Comission and was a member of the Jaycee's in the 1950's. He had been on the board of director's for Stafford Lake and a carpentry-based Vocational Education Committee. Jim was a building contractor/craftsman and farmed in the Stafford area.
His loving children include: Douglas of Colorado Springs, CO. Melinda Owens and her husband Robert of Stafford. Bart of Castle Rock, CO. He leaves behind two sisters: Betty Bailey and her husband Bob of Dodge City. Lona Hinshaw of Hutchinson. Also several neices and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 25 at the First Christian Church, Stafford with Pastor Rhonda Glenn officiating. Visitation will be Monday 1-7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. The family will receive friends Monday 6-7 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery.
