Hazel McComb

GARDEN CITY - Hazel Marie McComb, 93, passed away January 20, 2011 at Homestead Health and Rehabilitation in Garden City Kansas.
Born January 18, 1918 in Stafford Kansas she was the daughter of Charles and Nellie Byer.
She graduated from Stafford High School and attended Southwestern College in Winfield Ks.
Hazel taught school in Zenith and the Lulu Valley Country School.
She was baptized in the Methodist Church and was a primary Sunday school teacher.
On April 23, 1939 she married Randall McComb in Wichita Ks. To this marriage was born Karen
McComb Bordewick and Janet McComb.
Survivors include her daughter: Karen Bordewick, grand children, Greg Bordewick, Todd Bordewick, and Lance Bordewick all of Garden City, Ks. Sonja Zook of Greeley Co. and Danelle Adair of Carmel, IN. Six great grandsons and four great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Janet McComb and husband Randall McComb.
Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with Richard Foster presiding. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Contributions may be sent to the Stafford Methodist Church or St. Catherine Hospice of Garden City, both in care of the chapel.
