Chester Hildebrand

STAFFORD - Chester "Chet" Hildebrand, 78, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at Leisure Homestead, Stafford. Born June 7, 1931 at Hutchinson he was the son of Charles and Carrie Lichte Hildebrand. He was a longtime Stafford resident and was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he had also served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher. On November 23, 1951 he married Marjorie Canaday at Dodge City. She survives. DAUGHTERS: Susan Kay Pye of Centennial, CO. Julie Blea of Hutchinson. SISTERS: Elsie Hildebrand and Marjorie Hildebrand, both of Hutchinson. Six grandchildren. Two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Diana Keller, one brother and five sisters.
The casket will remain closed at the funeral service which will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Dillon presiding. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery.
