STAFFORD - Charlie McComb entered this life in 1956, the son of Max and Cleta (Herrell) McComb, and went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2009, at the age of 53. He grew up in Stafford, Kansas, and graduated from high school in 1974. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Agribusiness. He moved to San Antonio to work for Foremost Dairy as an accountant. He had a long tenure at USAA as an auditor with subsequent positions at Key Insulation and at TEAM. He was a faithful member of the MacArthur Park Church of Christ, an avid fan of the Spurs and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Max, and his brother, Sam. He is survived by his mother, Cleta, of Augusta, Kansas; sisters, Nancy Girard and her husband Ray of Augusta, Marlyn Stallings and her husband James of Alva, OK; six nieces and one nephew. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at Peace Creek Cemetery, Rural Stafford with Richard Foster presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 - 10:30 Tuesday at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Memorials may be sent to the Stafford Church of Christ or Maude Carpenter Children's Home in care of the chapel.
