Alma Ella Asher

STAFFORD - Alma Ella Asher, 95, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Kenwood Plaza, St. John. Born May 31, 1915 at Alma, Kansas she was the daughter of Leroy and Amelia Conwell. She was a CNA for Stafford Hospital from 1963-1986. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, was an active member in various E.H.U. organizations and had been a 4-H Leader for the Antrim Streamliners. On June 22, 1940 she married Beverly Asher. He died May 23, 2003. She is survived by her children - Larry Asher and his wife Phyllis of Sedgwick, Jim Asher and his wife Jan of Flower Mound, Texas, Barbara Hildebrand and her husband Jerry of Pratt, Don Asher and his wife Gayla of Ellinwood. Ten grandchildren. 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church, Stafford with Pastor Jim Dillon presiding. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 2-6 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. The family will receive friends Friday 4-6 p.m. at the chapel. Memorials may be sent to the Calvary Baptist Church or Stafford County Hospital, both in care of the chapel.
